About us

We are a strong pillar and the umbrella body of all Hyperemesis Gravidarum mothers in Africa

What we do

We seek to promote the welfare of people suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

our programs

Our programs deliver holistic support, improve health outcomes, and empower survivors to rebuild their lives

The experience of bringing children into the world varies for each woman. However, when some women find themselves faced with the difficult decision between continuing a pregnancy and maintaining a 'normal' life, it becomes clear that things are far from ordinary. However, love and support from medical professionals, friends, and family is like a big hug for women experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum.

Your Story Matters

I have come to appreciate the power of my story. I have come to see that my voice carries weight. I have come this far with creating support groups, starting an organization, and continually creating awareness on hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), because I did not keep quiet.

What about you? My journey with HG is not like yours. There is a woman who is still in the darkness of it, wondering if anyone understands. Your story might just be the moment she realizes she is not alone.

My name is Elizabeth Franklin, and I'm the founder of Hyperemesis Gravidarum Foundation Africa.

I want us to tell our stories. This year, our theme is ‘From Trauma to Tender Healing’ and we’re moving together towards that healing.

The sisters we have lost because of HG will not be forgotten because our voices will speak for them, and those going through the thick of it need to know we overcame, and they can lean on our strength to overcome.

This month, the topic is ‘No One Believed Me’ – see the poster for more details. Then sign up here:
