Programs Director

Position Overview

Reports To: Executive Director 
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Nairobi, Kenya. Remote and Hybrid


The Programs Director will oversee the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all programs supporting hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) survivors and their families. They will ensure programs are executed effectively, align with the organization’s mission, and deliver measurable outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

        1. Oversee the execution of programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and beneficiaries’ needs.

        1. Manage program logistics such as participant registration, scheduling workshops, and others.
        2. Recruit, onboard, and supervise program volunteers and staff as needed and provide training to volunteers and staff to maintain high-quality program delivery.
        3. Establish and monitor performance metrics for each program and use tools like surveys, focus groups, and feedback forms to assess program effectiveness.
        4. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports for the Executive Director and highlight successes, challenges, and areas for improvement in program delivery.
        5. Share program updates, success stories, and impact reports through social media, newsletters, and other platforms.

Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Project Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    2. At least 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the nonprofit or maternal health sector.
    3. Strong project management and organizational skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with staff and other diverse stakeholders.
    4. Familiarity with maternal health issues, particularly hyperemesis gravidarum, is an advantage.
    5. 5. Ability to work flexible hours, and willingness to travel.
